Stress & Anxiety Management

13m
The sense of touch is one of the central forms of perceptual experience, though it has often been overshadowed by vision in both philosophy and psychology. Thought to be one of the first senses to develop, touch occurs across the whole body using a variety of receptors in the skin.
For individuals with dementia, human touch plays an important role in promoting overall well-being. Research has found that just five minutes of hand massage can induce a physical relaxation response and reduce levels of cortisol, a hormone released during times of stress.
This film takes you through many of the sensations of touching and feeling different objects. This film will keep the viewers engaged through subtle images suggesting the sense of touch.
