Reminisce & Communicate
Reminiscence therapy is one of the most popular psychosocial interventions in dementia care and is highly appreciated by staff and participants. It involves the discussion of past activities, events, and experiences with another person or group of people. This approach is often assisted by aids such as videos, pictures, archives, and “life story” books. The practice has attracted considerable attention in recent years and there is a growing body of literature that supports using this technique with people with mild to moderate dementia.
