Memories in the Making is an art program that allows people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias explore their memories and emotions through the process of creating art to fulfill the participant’s desire to communicate, particularly when speech is affected. Please join us for a virtual Memories in the Making session. Art supplies provided upon request.

ITEMS NEEDED:
• Watercolor paint that contains pigment, are non-toxic and washable
• Watercolor pencils, pastels, or chalk. We advise against using crayons as they’re not age appropriate.
• Watercolor paper that measures 9”x12” and is 90lb. or heavier
• Several watercolor brushes. A great starter pack would include brushes that are sizes: #8 or #10, #2 or #4 , and #16 or #18 .
• Water cups and paper towels
• Pencils, sponges, foam brush, waterproof ink pens or thin sharpie pens
• Scratch paper
• Easels are nice, but not necessary
